Plates very clean and bright.Maurice Edmond Charles Rothschild (1881-1957) financed and organized (together with Henri Neuville) a collecting expedition in East Africa; travelling from Djibouti, across Eritrea to Ethiopia and Kenya. The specimens were presented to the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle. A large number of entomologists, including Charles Rothschild, worked on the specimens and their descriptions were published in the first two volumes of this publication. Only 400 copies were printed.
