Très rare pamphlet contre Marie de Médicis, qui bien que n'étant plus Régente et ayant été exilée à Blois, conserve à son retour à la Cour la main mise sur son fils, le Roi Louis XIII époux d' Anne, Infante d'Espagne, intrigue avec ses proches espagnols et italiens, et ne réussit pas à faire éloigner Richelieu. Exemplaire parfaitement conforme à celui détenu à la BNF et à celui de la Newberry Library de Chicago. L'auteur reste, semble t'il, non identifié. Le cartonnage est modeste, le corps de l'ouvrage présente quelques petites taches sans gravité. Très bon exemplaire pour ce document rare.

Trace d'humidité en marge sans grande gravité, exemplaire un peu court de marge en partie supérieure sur les dernières pages, un petit manque de papier sans perte de texte en marge des deux premières pages. L'auteur, Jurisconsulte, né et mort à Montbrison était Avocat au Présidial de Lyon, Avocat du Roi au Présidial puis Baillage de Montbrison. Publié à l'occasion de la visite royale de Louis XIII à Lyon à la faveur de laquelle la ville aura engagé de lourdes dépenses pour des cérémonies somptueuses.Très bon exemplaire de cet ouvrage rare, non signalé dans Brunet.

Le sujet de cette oeuvre apologétique est à rapprocher du fameux "voeu de Louis XIII", ensemble de promesses et d'actes de dévotion effectués par le roi entre 1632 et 1638 dans l'espoir d'obtenir un héritier... qu'il baptisera finalement Louis Dieudonné, le futur Louis XIV !
