The photographs measure 5-1/2 x 4 inches and are mounted on pages 9-3/4 x 7-1/2 inches. Bound in 3/4 green pebble-grain morocco a.e.g. title stamped in gilt on upper cover some wear to extremities and occasional foxing to the mounting pages; the photographs are generally fine. Tuttle Bishop of Utah 1867--; Benjamin H. Paddock Bishop of Massachusetts 1873--; William H. Hare Bishop of Niobrara Southern Dakotas 1873--; and others. Most are shown in full-length images and all are in clerical garb.<br/><br/>The album itself bears a London stationer's label on the rear pastedown and is less than half full despite the "Vol. 1" on the cover. It would be interesting to know the genesis of this effort which was obviously undertaken with much thought and care. unknown books
