Struck by photographer Jim Marshall circa 1990s with his stamp and holograph identification number on the verso. <br/><br/>As a photographer for both record labels and magazines such as "Rolling Stone" Jim Marshall was one of the most prolific and influential chronicles of rock music during the 1960s and 1970s. Among his most iconic photographs are images of Jimi Hendrix setting his guitar on fire at Monterey Pop Johnny Cash performing at San Quentin and The Beatles backstage at their final live concert at Candlestick Park. In 2014 he was posthumously awarded a Lifetime Achievement Grammy the only photographer to have ever received that honor.<br/><br/>Archivally mounted in a museum quality frame with UV plexiglass.<br/><br/>10 x 8 inches with wide upper and lower margins. This series began with Monk's two-year stay in Rome. He began recreating famous modern and contemporary artworks by artists such as Warhol Cattelan LeWitt Judd Kippenberger Noland Prince Ruscha Kruger Wool Koons Hirst Buren Gilbert & George etc. on restaurant receipts. Monk then took a picture and uploaded it to Instagram where the first person to comment could buy the illustrated receipt for the cost of the meal plus postage.
