M. -A of the Freres-Mineurs Capucins.A biography on the life of the Catholic Saint Mary Frances of the Five Wounds.Mary Frances was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis received into the Order in 1731 taking the Franciscan friar John Joseph of the Cross as her spiritual director. She was known for her works of charity among the poor and her long hours of meditation in deep prayer.She is said to have received the wounds of the stigmata suffering from many physical afflictions and spiritual trials before her death in 1791. In a half calf binding with cloth to the boards. Externally rubbed. Crack to the head of the spine and spine label. Rubbing has resulted in a little loss of leather to the spine and extremities. Label to the tail of the spine. Some light marks to the boards and spine. Torn and worn label to the front paste down. Internally firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with some spots mostly to the first and last few pages. Good C. Jaillet hardcover
