Simone's famous diatribe against those he deemed responsible for the Fall of the Fourth Republic in 1940 takes its title from the Zola scandal of the late 1890s. This copy has a neat signature on front wrapper, annotations in blue crayon on half-title recto and verso, and a caricature on title. Proof copies are very scarce. Enser p.170.
