A VG copy of the first part of 5 parts of the famous Siren study on Chinese paintings in American collections Annales du Musee Guimet - Bibliotheque d'Art Nouvelle Serie II. There are 41 pages of text that provide an introduction together with detailed descriptions of the plates all printed on loose 4 page sections. This is followed by 40 full-page prints with none of the usual heavy foxing/wear usually encountered. The plates are all in VG or better condition. Text in French.
