The covers include spaces for the names of commercial enterprises generally department stores or the like to whom the book was supplied for use as a promotional gift. The cover and inside pages contain advertisements various Aurora Illinois businesses such as Wilcox & Gilbert dress goods at River Street and Downer Place. With full-page ad for T. Kingsford & Son's "Oswego NY " starches. Records indicate that the title "Our picture book" was used by Sunshine Publishing Co. for volumes of varying content and number of pages.
