Quirky but very readable and enjoyable travelogue - the author's afterthoughts sum this up - Please see our images. The author served with the Royal Navy Air Service in WWI and won the D.F.C. prior to being shot down over the Rhine and being held P.O.W. He made his name with the B.B.C. and dramatised C.S.Lewis' The Magician's Nephew for broadcast on the Radio. He also designed the eight squared drawing intended to assist B.B.C. Radio commentators and listeners to follow football commentary on the wireless. Wikipedia.
