This is accompanied with several whimsical annotations throughout the volume and a large inscription to the rear of the volume referencing the volume's compositors and pressmen. These whimsical and personal annotations have made the volume a personalised copy for someone dear in the author's life. Written by Lancelot de Giberne Sieveking better known as Lance Sieveking. As we as a prolific writing Sieveking was notably an important television and radio producer for the BBC. A self-deprecating and witty collection of work by the talented dramatist and writer Lance Sieveking. Hardback with marbled paper covered board. Externally generally smart. Whyte proposed something he called "the unitary principle" to unify physics theories. Whyte was the author of the book Internal Factors in Evolution 1968. He proposed that Darwin's theory of natural selection is limited to external factors and internal factors are a second directive agency in evolution. <br /><br />PROVENANCE: SIR ALEC WESTLEY SKEMPTON 1914 - 2001 was an English civil engineer internationally recognized as one of the founding fathers of the engineering discipline of soil mechanics.
