The inscription to the front endpaper reads 'The author send love to Joan by means of this ridiculous loon.' This is accompanied with several whimsical annotations throughout the volume and a large inscription to the rear of the volume referencing the volume's compositors and pressmen. These whimsical and personal annotations have made the volume a personalised copy for someone dear in the author's life. Written by Lancelot de Giberne Sieveking better known as Lance Sieveking. As we as a prolific writing Sieveking was notably an important television and radio producer for the BBC. A self-deprecating and witty collection of work by the talented dramatist and writer Lance Sieveking. Hardback with marbled paper covered board. Externally generally smart. Rubbing to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities with rubbind resulting in the spine label lifting from the backstrip. Patches of light rubbing to the front and rear boards. Offsetting to the front and rear endpapers. Ink inscription to the front endpaper. Internally firmly bound. Pages are clean with several annotations by the author throughout.
