Petit manque de cuir à la coiffe du tome I, coins émoussés, épidermures sur les plats des tomes I et III, manque la pièce de tomaison du tome III. Malgré les défauts signalés, très bon exemplaire, intérieur très frais, bien complet. Tome I : Traité de l'attaque des places : Faux-titre, titre, xl pages, épitre de Vauban à Mgr le Duc de Bourgogne, préface, éloge de Mr le Maréchal de Vauban prononcé à l'Académie des Sciences en 1707 par Mr de Fontenelle, table des chapitres, 262 pages, bien complet des 29 planches gravées. La planche 14 présente un petit manque de papier marginal n'atteignant pas la gravure, pas même l'encadrement. Tome II : Traité de la défense des places, ouvrage original de M. de Vauban : Faux-titre, page de titre à la date de 1779, second faux-titre, seconde page de titre. A Paris chez Charles Antoine Jombert père 1769. xvi pages, avertissement et table des articles, 3 pages pour l'approbation du 12 avril 1769 à Versailles et le Privilège du Roi du 10 mai 1769. 334 pages pour les trois parties de ce Traité incluant la table alphabétique raisonnée des matières et l'avant propos, une page pour les additions, corrections et l'avis au relieur. Bien complet des 15 tables dépliantes et des 9 planches dépliantes gravées. La troisième partie contient Le Discours sur la Défense des Places par Deshouilleres, publié avec des notes critiques de Vauban. EO pour ce Traité. Tome III : Traité théorique et pratique des mines : Joint un Traité de la guerre en général, comprenant les qualités et les devoirs des gens de guerre, depuis le Général jusqu'au soldat et des règles sur les principales opérations militaires par un Officier de distinction. Faux-titre, page de titre, xx pages, préface de l'éditeur et table, 60 + 243 pages. Le Traité des Mines est divisé en deux parties. Complet des 18 planches dépliantes. Ex-libris manuscrit Geouffre, Adjudant Général sur les 3 pages de titre. Notes manuscrites du temps en marges de certains chapitres, parfois importantes et anecdotiques, réflexions du plus grand intérêt, n'altérant en rien l'ouvrage. En résumé bel ensemble, parfaitement complet.

Infimes frottements à la reliure, corps de l'ouvrage en bel état, très belle qualité de gravure des planches. Ex-libris Bibliothèque de La Motte avec devise "de jour en jour" et ex libris manuscrit "Blondeau" en page de titre. Très bon exexmplaire.
