With shelfmarks stamps and labels of the Board of Education Reference Library London. The remit of the committee was 'to examine the problem of child adoption from the point of view of possible legislation and to report upon the main provisions which in their view shuold be included in any Bill on the subject'. In an amendment to the final report Home Secretary Sir William Joynson-Hicks instructs the committee 'to enquire into the working of the provisions of the Children Act 1908 which deal with the protection of infant life and the visitation of voluntary homes'. The only copies of the three reports on COPAC are at the University of Southampton. All three published in London by His Majesty's Stationery Office. In early May 1971 the PCPJ organized a series of protests in the Bay Area. Items here include a six-panel brochure discussing the People's Treaty a flyer about "Crime in Oakland" that discusses how corporations and allegedly corrupt politicians "have already brought the SE Asian war to Oakland" and a Mayday Calendar leaflet for San Francisco with imagery of Vietnamese women guerrillas farming listing activities to protest the war.
