Fabricant de soieries à Lyon, Ernest Pariset (1826-1912) était aussi vice-président de la Chambre de commerce de la même ville. Ses différentes monographies sur la soie sont encore des ouvrages de référence. Tampon de bibliothèque ancien et discret et quelques restaurations dans les marges. Très bel exemplaire, bien relié et sans rousseurs.
