Charles Hénault devint président de la Première Chambre des enquêtes du Parlement de Paris, il demeura l'un de ses amants les plus constants. Ami de la reine, c'est lui également qui introduisit la marquise auprès de la duchesse du Maine, alors grande ordonnatrice des plaisirs à la Cour de Sceaux. L'auteure Clara Adèle Luce Herpin (1825-1914) composa plusieurs études historiques sous le pseudonyme de Lucien Perey. Quelques rousseurs éparses. Bon exemplaire, bien relié.
