Fine Romanian Paperback. Demy 8vo. (22 x 15 cm). In Romanian and a small abstract in English. 300 p. Criza dinasticâ din România, (1925-1930).= The dynastic crisis in Romania, (1925-1930). The first signs of a serious institutional impasse, an event commonly referred to as the "Crisis of succession", may be applied between 1918-1919, when Prince Carol, the eldest son and heir of King Ferdinand - who was in love with Ioana (Zizi) Lambrino - was ready to give up his powers as a successor of the Romanian Crown. Although the question of the succession to the throne was governed with great efforts in 1881 by Ferdinand's appointment as successor to the Crown, the constitutional order of the country knows in the third decade of the last century, an unprecedented stalemate, a result of the Crown Prince Carol's decision to withdraw from the order of succession. Decision of the Council held in Sinaia, on December 31st, 1925, on the question of giving up the throne would lead to the convening of the two Houses of Parliament for January 4th, 1926. Patriarch Miron Cristea was to be involved in the major events that have ridden the Romanian political stage in 1925 and 1927, on the occasion of the so-called "dynastic crisis", as a witness and adviser, and then, with the establishment of the Regency, as a member of it, alongside Prince Nicolae, the younger son of King Ferdinand I and Gheorghe Buzdugan, the President of the High Court of Justice and Cassation.

If life were fair, beautiful Cassandra would be on her way to enjoying her first London Season instead of having an awkward breakfast with the man she was promised to long ago. Christopher Warrender's years a prisoner of war in France have done nothing for his table manners, though they have given him a bold, defiant spirit that Cassandra finds oddly compelling. In fact, she doesn't know whether to feel relief or indignation when Christopher angrily informs her that he has no intention of leaving one prison only to be trapped in a loveless marriage. She is free to pursue her Season in London while he in turn will entertain himself with a bevy of society beauties... Book
(The Rarest Blooms series ) Outrageously wealthy, the Duke of Castleford has little incentive to curb his profligate ways and enjoying his hedonistic lifestyle to the fullest. When a behest adds a small property to his vast holdings, one that houses a modest flower business known as The Rarest Blooms, Castleford sees little to interest him...until he lays eyes on its owner. Daphne Joyes is coolly mysterious, exquisitely beautiful, and utterly scathing toward a man of Castleford's stamp-in short, an object worthy of his most calculated seduction. Daphne has no reason to entertain Castleford's outrageous advances, and every reason to keep him as far away as possible from her eclectic household. Not only has she been sheltering young ladies who have been victims of misfortune, but she has her own closely guarded secrets. Then Daphne makes a discovery that changes everything. She and Castleford have one thing in common: a profound hatred for the Duke of Becksbridge, who just happens to be Castleford's relative. Never before were two people less likely to form an alliance-or to fall in love... Book
All his life, it seemed, Julian had been in love with Penelope, now Countess of Glasbury. And when he learned the horrors she had endured at the hands of her vicious husband, Julian was instrumental in arranging for her escape to Italy. But he has never forgotten the love of his childhood, the woman he had rescued first as a "damsel in distress" when she was a girl, and then for real once she had blossomed into woman. When Penelope returns secretly to London, Julian is the one she turns to, even though her trust in him puts both their reputations, and ultimately their lives, in per Book
Wearing nothing but a man's nightshirt, Fleur Monley wakes to find herself in the bed of England's most charming and reckless libertine. But it was a stray gunshot, not passion, that put her at the mercy of a man as infamously handsome as he is famously talented in the arts of love. Believing herself immune to any seduction, Fleur thinks herself perfectly safe to proffer an arrangement no ordinary woman would dare make: half her fortune for the freedom she would gain by being his wife--in name only. Desperately in need of funds, Dante Duclaire could do worse than the "white marriage" proposed by this idealistic beauty too naïve to know the danger she is in. But the rashest thing he's ever done is to tell himself he'll be able to resist the invitation to sin that this sensuous innocent would arouse at every turn--or that he'll be able to protect her from both the ruthless enemies that seek her ruin . . . and his own dangerous desire. Book
Shameless rogues who'll do anything to captivate the women they crave. Willing ladies stolen by desire, seduced into risking it all. An unforgettable new novel of wicked pasts and secrets--the first in the Bridal Pleasure series Book
(The Boscastles series) Lord Griffin Boscastle has no intention of ending his glorious career as a rakehell now that he has inherited a dukedom. Still, there are responsibilities he must discharge before his pleasures resume, including finding a bride, and depositing his incorrigible niece at a relative's academy outside London. It is at this so-very-proper finishing school that flame-haired instructress Harriet Gardner awakens in Griffin emotions so dangerously intoxicating that he must avoid her at all cost. Yet when Harriet finds work in the townhouse where Griffin resides, her presence tempts him at every turn. Harriet has survived London's streets far too long to let an arrogant duke woo a bride he doesn't want when she desires him for herself, and she has seen too much of life not to recognize a man ripe for redemption. But just as Harriet finds the perfect cure for His Lordship's devilish ways, a vindictive enemy intervenes, and the duke whom Harriet has plotted to save suddenly becomes her devoted protector. Book

A resolute spinster at twenty-five, Abigail Weston is nonetheless determined to see her cherished younger sister wed to a man of Quality. But Abigail's lack of experience with the opposite sex means that she cannot allay her sister's fears about the marriage bed--unless she takes bold steps to learn what the intimacy between a man and a woman entails. Yet the one man in London qualified to teach her awakens temptation Abigail never anticipated--to experience each whispered pleasure for herself. James Stevens--wealthy, dissolute, and wholeheartedly bored by London society--believes nothing can shock him. While Abigail's request for a verbal explanation of the pleasures of the flesh is mildly surprising, what amazes James is his powerful reaction to her innocence and lush beauty. A sexual dalliance between them may bring untold carnal bliss, but anything more would ruin Abigail forever. And for the first time in his life, James suspects that mere physical intimacy pales in the face of true love. Book
