101-t1337Heritage Books Inc. Paperback. new. new. new.
This is a wonderfully detailed genealogy that follows the Tower family through eleven generations. John Tower1 and his wife Margaret Ibrook Tower were married in Charlestown MA c1638. They moved to Hingham MA and had 10 children 9 of whom lived to adulthood. This family spread throughout New England and participated in many major colonial wars and events. The genealogy is presented in an easily comprehended numerical style. Listed chronologically by generations each family member who lived to maturity is given an individual number. In addition to the individual number each person's name is always followed by the number of their generation. The lineage of that person is given followed by birth date marriage information and children's names and birth dates. If a child died young the death date is given in the Tower parent's entry. If the Tower individual was married more than once that information also is given. Some of the entries consist of several pages of biographical material including war service personal property and real estate mentioned in wills and information about certain occupations and local customs. There is a fullname index to Tower names and a separate index to full names other than Tower.

Charlemagne Tower

1891 1999 2010 5½x8½ paper indices 702 pp.

ISBN: 9780788413377

101-T1337
Heritage Books, Inc. paperback
