In half calf bindings. Externally generally smart. Bumping to the heads and tails of the spines as well as board edges causing occasional loss of paper. Marks to calf. Joints weakening due to rubbing. Loss to spine labels with vols I III and VII lacking both labels altogether. Significant rubbing to spine of vol IV. Front paste down peeling to vol VII with the front free endpaper disbound but attached at hinge to front paste down. Ink inscription to rear of front free endpaper of vol III. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with scattered spotting. Ink inscription to title page of vol IV. Ink inscription to first blank of vol II and VI. Notable scent to volumes.
