Hardcover, the first four volume uniformly bound in nice three-quarters buckram and matching boards, spine strips from original wrappers laid-down. The last two volumes are in the original publisher's blue full cloth, gilt lettering on red morocco labels to spine, gilt lettering to cover. In a very good condition. ~ First edition. Published posthumously. The first four volumes, Spruch 213-506, were published a year after Sethe's death. Sethe's original manuscript was transferred to print by an old, now defunct method called "Manuldruck", also known as "Reflex Copying Process". The four volumes were printed by the inventor of this method, the printers' firm Max Ullman of Zwicaku. In 1962 appeared by Augustin Volume V, Spruch 507-582, to be followed the same year by Volume VI, Index. Also these two volumes are presented here in the first edition, to be distinguished from the second edition of the entire work which also appeared that year. Ötüken Uygur dönemi yazitlarindan: Tes - Tariat - Sine Us. Inscriptions from the Ötüken period: Tes, Tariat and Sine Usu. Cultur and civilization traces belonging to the Uigur who they lived in today's Mongolia geography between the years of 744-840 is substantially important in the sense of Turkish history. Afterwards, the Uighurs using the system of runic in their earliest period developed Uighur writing that carried the traces of Manichaeism and was adopted from Sogd writing and they used it as formal writing. Scholars have been assuming a close historical and philological connection between the Tes, Terx and Sine Usu inscriptions of the Uighur steppe empire.
