Morin & with early ownership entry illegible. First Edition. Morin a seventh generation Canadian was still a law student when he wrote the present work assailing Judge Bowens refusal of a writ of summons drawn up in French and reminding him of French language rights in Lower Canadian courts. Morin went on to practise law and journalism and entered politics in 1830 becoming a supporter of Louis Joseph Papineau. He was the author in 1834 of the Ninety-Two Resolutions and the same year was deputed with Denis Benjamin Viger to lay before the British parliament the views of the Lower Canadian Assembly.
