The son of President Eisenhower John Eisenhower served as a young officer in WWII an aide in the White House and Ambassador to Belgium among other experiences. The book is inscribed to Andrew S. Low a fellow cadet at West Point whom is mentioned extensively on pages 36-39. Major General Low later became director of aerospace programs for the Air Force.
