The gang locks the remainder of the passengers who are mostly innocent civilians in a gas-soaked barn and threaten to set the barn on fire in order to hold off the police.<br/><br/>8 x 10 inches. Richard Montgomery Field was a charter member of the Academy of Arts and Science and was an internationally acknowledged geologist. He taught at Princeton University from 1923 to 1950 and was chairman of the Special Committee on Geophysical and Geological Study of Ocean Basins from 1932 to 1941. Signed presentation from Field to a fellow geologist on the front cover: "E.R. Barnsley with pleasant memories of 1928- R.M. Field." He has also penned "Princeton" beneath the subtitle. The detailed story of the three trials in which author Oscar Wilde was the principle figure at the Central Criminal Court in London in 1895 who was as is noted in the introduction: “A well-known dramatic author prosecuted an eccentric and pugnacious peer for criminally libelling him the libel having been uttered by the Marquess of Queensbury in an alleged attempt to save his son Lord Alfred Douglas from the author’s evil communications. A densely set strongly worded criticism of O'Connell by the founder of the Remonstrant Synod of Ulster: "To O'Connell's agitation for repeal of the union he was strongly opposed; his letter to O'Connell 1 Feb. 1831 was among the most powerful attacks upon the Liberator's position and did much to alienate Irish liberals from his cause" - DNB.
