Sepia aquatint. 500mm by 670mm platemark 540mm by 700mm sheet. ‘Ansicht der Bergstrasse von Tirol nach Vor Arlberg'. <br /> Von Molitor was a Viennese landscape painter was a student of JC Brand at the Vienna Academy and promoted by Prince W. A. Kaunitz. In 1802 he travelled with J. Gauermann through Tyrol and on the journey created illustrations for the collection of panoramas ‘Prospecte aus dem Tyrol’. His works belong to collections of the museums of Vienna and Prague. CONDITION : A few tiny black specks in the sky. A few faint creases in the sky one across top left corner. Stain in right margin within the platemark. Margins slightly soiled. Four short breaks in the paper at the edge of the sheet. A couple go into platemark at the bottom one of which by 2cm - it has been repaired by tape on the reverse. The reverse has a couple of old strips of tape at the edge of the sheet. unknown
