434 pages. Profusely illustrated in black and white. Documents the customs of the people who established a culture and self-sufficient way of life which still exists today, but which, like the once-widespread vine, has almost disappeared from the land. A collection of the best from 'Bittersweet' magazine. Here is advice on how to build an Ozark johnboat, perform traditional square dances, make rag rugs, and prepare old-time cures. Also touches on the art of moonshining and sharp-note singing, and appreciations of mules and the Ozark fox trotter. Moderate wear. Unmarked. Binding solid. Nice copy. Book
