The booklet suggests the best method of conveyance describes the scenery on various trails and drives and gives information about camping trips. It provides the traveler with a panorama of scenery unequaled anywhere in the world. Views include Hopi Point Drive Corkscrew along the Bright Angel Trail a trail party leaving El Tovar Hotel the Rim of the Grand Canyon in front of the hotel the stables at El Tovar a double-page panoramic view of the Grand Canyon at center etc. Trips by horseback private conveyances and motor car are provided including prices for each. 18787990Martinsburg W. Va: the hotel; Statesman Print 1878. Bi-fold menu folded on top edge 20.5 x 12 cm. 4 pages. Printed in blue. A four-page program with menu for a banquet honoring Col. Nadenbousch at the Grand Central Hotel in Martinsburg West Virginia. Colonel John Quincy Adams Nadenbousch owned the Hotel in which he was being feted as well as a lumber yard and the Martinsburg branch of the Hannis Distillery based in Philadelphia. He pursued these activities following service in the Confederate States Army during the Civil War. Prior to the war he had been instrumental in forming the Berkeley Border Militia a pre-Civil War local militia. While the toasts contain a number of shout outs to the nation as a whole and to the period of peace and relative prosperity in which this banquet took place there is also a toast to "The Militia of West Virginia and her Nobel Volunteer Corps. Where duty calls we may be sure to find them." The order of toasts is joined by a list of the officers and VIPs associated with this banquet. The rear panel contains the "Table'd'Hote" indicating the meal started at 1 pm. ~ Very slight soiling otherwise fine. [the hotel; Statesman Print] unknown

Litografia, antica ed originale, stampata a colori, tratta dal ricercato e raro giornale umoristico settimanale LA RANA, fondato a Bologna nel novembre 1865 da Leonida Gioannetti e da Augusto Grossi. Fu un giornale di grande successo per le sue satiriche caricature a colori di cui alcune in qudruplo foglio che fu uno dei successi editoriali. I politici, lo Stato Ecclesiastico e la politica europea furono i prediletti ispiratori. Il periodico affrontò una grave crisi nel 1873, quando Grossi decise di abbandonare la redazione per fondare Il Papagallo. La Rana sospese le pubblicazioni nel 1911, per cessarle definitivamente nel 1912. N° 41 del 12ottobre 1888
