1926605Oklahoma City: Hotel Kingkade 1926. 16 x 6 1/2 inches. Very good condition. Route 66- juThe Hotel Kinked opened in 1912 in Oklahoma City. It billed itself as Gateway to Oklahoma. The map on the verso is small but powerful in its image. It shows the route from Chicago to Los Angeles. The is highlighting with a red arrow to Oklahoma City. Numerous towns are located along the way. The banner a the top says in a scroll Main Street of America. Below the scroll is the course of the road on an elevation chart that tops out at the Continental Divide at 7265 feet. . The map below is beautiful in its presentation of "The Mother Road." Also highlighted in red are Chicago St. Louis and Loa Angeles. Also included are mileage charts for the users going east or west. The distances are from Oklahoma City. This is a must have piece that will take up little room in any serious collection of Route 66! Hotel Kingkade unknown
