Livre destiné aux enfants de l'État de São Paulo, avec une couverture où un enfant blond, habillé d'un polo blanc, d'une petite cravate noire et d'un bermuda très scout, brandit d'un air rêveur le drapeau brésilien devant une carte du Brésil. Titre désormais rare, illustré abondamment et avec goût. Plaquette in-12 de 14 x 19 cm pour 131 pp. Cartonnage éditeur, charnières à la Bradel, dessin de couverture à dominante jaune et vert qui se poursuit sur le plat arrière. Sans âge défini, ce livre enseigne à l'enfant de São Paulo "la grammaire, l'histoire, la géographie, les sciences naturelles et l'hygiène". Encourageant son lecteur à découvrir la ville, il le fait monter dans un avion pour le motiver à la curiosité sur l'agriculture, puis sur les ressources importantes pour le Brésil, les voies de communication, etc. Chaque partie et chapitre vient avec un dessin en noir et blanc. Légers frottements aux coins du plat avant, en coiffe et en queue, papier sable clair. Exempt de rousseurs et d'annotations. Très bon exemplaire. Un exemple précieux de la culture des années 1950, qui semble poursuivre l'enthousiasme Art déco des années 1920 par-delà la Seconde guerre mondiale et avant la révolution (pas si) tranquille des années 1960.
