Written as the theme song to the 1929 novel The Light in the Sky by Herbert Clock and Eric Boetzel a utopian novel about a lost race of immortal and scientifically advance people who live underground and communicate both verbally and telepathically. One of the songwriters who authored this piece Anne Caldwell was a celebrated librettist and was inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame in 1970.
