The author's original text is unabridged, the readers (usually professional actors or broadcasters) are selected for the quality of their characterisations, the recordings are produced to high standards in Dolby stereo and the cassettes or discs are housed in robust 'diamond' packs. Not surprisingly, used sets are scarce and almost invariably ex-institutional copies. Sets in the present state and condition are very uncommon.

Light wear and several nicks to dust jacket which features a colour photograph of Colonel R.S. McLaughlin at the wheel of a vintage automobile which most likely bears his name as manufacturer.
