Felix Kersten was personal physician to Himmler and close to many of the Nazi leadership and these journals of meetings and conversations, the majority written on the spot, make fascinating reading. Towards the end of the war he was responsible for saving many thousands of Dutchmen, Germans, Norwegians, Danes and Jews from his employer's clutches.
