Eldest brother of both Charles and John Wesley Samuel’s poetic subjects included theology satire politics and romance. Of all his works here printed it was the hymns that were to have the most lasting impact. ‘A Hymn to God the Father’ and ‘An Hymn to God the Son’ incorporated in several Wesleyan hymnals throughout the eighteenth- and nineteenth- centuries are the first two pieces featured in this volume. While several authors are credited the content of these magazines were written entirely by N. Wesley Firth. The first issue includes the stories "The Lords of Zorm" "Laughter of the Gods" and "The Timeless Dimension" while the other issue features one full-length tale "Dark Asteroid." Firth's career was sadly cut short when he contracted tuberculosis and died at the age of 29. Scarce. OCLC locates nine copies over two records. Hamilton & Co hardcover
