61211William Reeves. London. 1878. Second edition. 8vo. . pp. iv 60. Bound in later linen with manuscript title to spine and within a decorated panel on the front cover the title with a tear in the fore-margin and slight loss though not affecting text the title strengthened along fore- and gutter margins by linen tape that for the former obscuring the letter 'Y' of WESLEY and the word 'this' a number of leaves strengthened along the gutter margins a faint remnant vertical crease where once folded two opposing pages faintly browned from an inserted news cutting but despite all these faults a decent copy of a very scarce item. With the signature of E. GOWAN and a few marginal pencil notes plus a ms. chronology of both Samuel Wesley and Benjamin Jacobs and a brief Index all presumably by Gowan. COPAC records 7 locations though not in the BL. This was first published in 1875 this edition seemingly unchanged. It includes a check-list of Wesley's compositions. William Reeves. London. 1878.
