A PRESENTATION COPY FROM THE AUTHOR WITH HER SIGNED HOLOGRAPH INSCRIPTION ON HALF-TITLE. This copy is presented to 'The Dean of Bocking', a title of considerable antiquarian interest. Although Bocking is a village in Essex, the title of Dean is bestowed upon the rector of Hadleigh in Suffolk. It was at Hadleigh Deanery that the Oxford Movement was born in 1833 to change forever the modern Church of England. Presentation copies are very scarce.
Book is in excellent condition. Binding is solid and square, covers have sharp corners, exterior shows no blemishes, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. Dust jacket shows very light scuffing to back cover, price is inked out. Author photo on back.
