Grace and Carl Moon both white wrote and illustrated a number of picture books about Native Americans particularly about the Pueblo and Navajo peoples. This original work was reproduced in the 1932 picture book THE BOOK OF NAH-WEE by Grace Moon with Carl Moon as illustrator. A copy of the book is included here. Carl Moon was also a noted photographer of Native Americans and was commissioned by the Fred Harvey Company in 1907 to photographically document the Native communities of the southwest. Mat 6.25'' x 9.75'' visible image 2.5'' x 5.75'' piece 2.5'' x 6''. Single piece of paper with ink and watercolor drawing hinged onto card. Matted in white. One hinge has cracked.
