No dust jacket. Hardcover. 'A practical exposition'. Two - volume set. Volume I comprises chapters I - VIII; Volume II chapters IX - XVI. Volume II was published in 1904. Boards are a little worn, with a few small surface scratches and marks. Gilt lettering on front boards and spines. Small, single dents to upper and lower edges of rear board of Vol. II. Spine of Vol. I is slightly cocked. Spine ends and leading corners are a little worn and bumped. Pastedowns, endpapers and pages are rather tanned and age - spotted. Hinges of Vol. I are cracked, and there is a small crack to front hinge of Vol. II. Ink writing on half - title page of Vol. II. Binding is a little loose in both volumes, but more so in Vol. I.
