Benoit, qui introduit le texte, « rien de plus simple que le thème de la comédie de Voron : trois délégués de Pluton siègent aux enfers pour juger les âmes des mortels ». Comparaissent Alexandre le Grand, Mahomet, Néron, Epicure, Crésus, Héliogabale et Sardanapale en qui sont personnifiés les sept pêchés capitaux puis Diogène, Codrus, Socrate, Solon, Pertinax, Pythagore et Hippolyte qui représentent les sept vertus contraires.
