Le laboureur visionnaire et prophète Thomas Martin de Gallardon (1783-1834) eut des visions et demanda à rencontrer le Roi Louis XVIII. Il fut d'abord interné à Charenton, puis finit par révéler au Roi que Louis XVII était toujours vivant. Des années plus tard, il reconnut "Naundorff" comme le véritable Louis XVII. Caillet n°7193 "curieux mémoire de ces apparitions." L'édition de 1831 est justifiée par les récents évènements qui ont vu la chute de Charles X. Les visions de Thomas Martin prennent alors plus que jamais un caractère prophétique.
