20906On letterhead of 87 South Hill Park Hampstead N.W. 17 July no year. Pinned to the second leaf is a printed card of admittance to a 'General Meeting' of the Society for Psychical Research Council Chamber Westminster Town Hall 16 July 1900 at which 'The following Paper will be read: - “On Trance-Utterance and other Phenomena observed with Mrs. Thompson.†By the President.' The letter is 3pp. 16mo. Bifolium. Both letter and card in good condition lightly aged. The subject of the letter is clearly the speech mentioned on the card given by Myers. After thanking Westlake for his 'kind letter' 'I thoroughly appreciate your kind expression of approval' she states: 'Mr. Myers began by giving only a few of the earlier things folks will be much surprised when they hear of the latter day things'. She explains that her 'neglect not writing earlier' is due to 'visitors in the house'. She concludes by asking to know 'whether Rev. Hawes is preaching in the morning or evening of 29th.'
