This title like Dew Drops is taken from Deuteronomy 32:2 and is itself an extract from the full text which is: 'My doctrine shall drop as the rain My speech shall distil as the dew; As the small rain upon the tender grass And as the showers upon the herb.' Small Rain was first published about 1830 by our friends the Religious Tract Society in London. It is one of the commonest miniature books of the period and went through some twenty editions between 1830 and 1840. Most copies measure 1 1/4 by 1 inches consist of 128 pages with easily readable six-point type. Smaller than Dew Drops and Daily Food ths devotional morsel was mainly for children."
