In-folio (32 cm x 49), format à l'italienne, 2 volumes réunis dans un coffret plus un portefeuille à part, reliés en plein veau fauve et mosaïqué de motifs métalliques, dos lisse, tête au palladium, garde en soie, non paginé. Le premier volume est illustré d'un large décor métallique abstrait avec titre argenté et l'autre illustré de quatre plaques métalliques (2 par plat) incisées de personnages représentant la mort d'un côté et une femme du Moyen-âge et sur l'autre plat la mort et un chevalier, ce volume est la réimpression du même texte de 1491 avec des illustrations en couleurs à chaque page. Un des 8 exemplaires numérotés sur vélin cuve de Rives accompagné d'une suite en couleurs (planches signées), d'une lithographie sur double-page et d'un dessin original signé (dans un portefeuille), n° IV. Illustrations en bistre hors-texte. ENVOI AUTOGRAPHE de l'illustrateur. RHIGAS est un artiste-peintre grec, originaire de l'île de Chios. Sa peinture évoque des impressions d'une enfance baignée dans la vibrante lumière de la Grèce. Chez lui, la nature conserve tout son pouvoir et il lui donne une traduction spiritualiste. Après ses études secondaires, il part à Londres et fréquente la Royal Academy. L'année suivante, il arrive à Paris, il est reçu au concours d'admission à l'école des Beaux-Arts. Parallèlement, et pour parfaire sa connaissance du dessin, il suit les cours de différentes académies parisiennes et participe aux salons parisiens. En 1976, il fait une exposition particulière à la Galerie Alexander à Paris à la suite de laquelle il se voit confier par les Editions des Unions Latines l'illustration d'un important ouvrage de bibliophilie : " LA DANSE MACABRE; ". Depuis, il travaille dans son atelier à l'écart des courants artistiques d'esthétique industrielle et urbaine qui dominent la scène actuelle. " Il a une approche spiritualiste de la nature et de la figure humaine qu'il traduit d'une manière tout à fait personnelle dans ses pastels, ses huiles et ses peintures "a tempera".
