Acerbic caricatures of Israeli/American colonialism with frequent comparisons between Zionism and Nazism. People's Army Magazine was published by the Ba'athist Ministry of Defense. C'est avec ce dernier qu'il fonda Siné Massacre en 1962 après son départ de L'Express où son « débloque-note » en remplacement temporaire du "bloc-note" de Mauriac lui vaut de nombreuses lettres. Défendu par Jacques Vergès alors avocat du FLN il quitte le journal pour se consacrer à partir de cette date à des journaux plus contestataires fondant toujours avec Pauvert L'Enragé en 1968.
