Realizzata a Firenze tra il 1477-1478, la Bibbia di Federico da Montefeltro rappresenta la vetta delle arti figurative in Italia e in Europa nel Quattrocento. Scritta da Ugo Comminelli da Mézières e miniata a Firenze in appena due anni (1477-1478) da Francesco di Antonio del Chierico, con l’aiuto di altri miniatori: Attavante degli Attavanti, Francesco Rosselli e, con ogni probabilità, Davide Ghirlandaio (fratello del più noto Domenico Ghirlandaio). Legatura in velluto rosso su piatti in legno. Ricami con oro e colori sul primo piatto. Borchie in argento sui piatti e fermagli in argento. Due volumi (47 x 63 cm.) di 480 e 622 pagine. Cofanetti di custodia. Commentario (due volumi in italiano) a cura di Benzoni Gino, Duval-Arnould Louis, Morello Giovanni, Paolucci Antonio, Piazzoni, Ambrogio Tauran Jean-Louis. Tiratura limitata a 500 esemplari. Condizione ottima.
