Rowling of 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard'. The catalogue focuses solely on this impressive manuscript with photographs and description of its importance. Rowling hand-wrote and -illustrated the manuscript in a morocco bound Italian handmade notebook decorated with sterling silver ornaments and mounted moonstones. With an estimate of £30000-£50000 the manuscript sold for £1950000. The profits went to the Children's Voice charity now known as Lumos.Sotheby's promotional slip loosely inserted.
