A rare broadside printing of this poem by Linton in memory of his close friend and publisher fellow radical James Watson. Written after Linton's removal to the U.S. the text is dated at the end "U.S. Dec 20 1874." Linton's early publication history in Britain was closely connected with Watson dating from the years of Linton's first major endeavor the radical weekly THE NATION. In 1879 Linton published his own significant prose memoir of Watson and their association. Not in Linton's entry in NCBEL. Blakeman & Jagger, Old-Style Printers unknown books
