Crépy dit le jeune], 1765 ; feuille oblongue 52,5 x 75 cm., Grande composition pastorale dans un encadrement de rocailles et fleurs, titre dans un médaillon. Deux couples, l’un de jeunes gens dont la femme tient une cage ouverte, lui un oiseau. À droite de la planche, la même jeune femme dans une autre tenue tenant un agneau en laisse est abordée par un vieillard qui lui tend un pièce. Dans un cartouche au bas du tableau “Ce vieille Orgon barbe grise acheteroit de tout son bien l’espoir d’une faveur que Lise à Lycas accorde pour rien” suivi de la date 1765. Taille-douce coloriée en rouge, vert et bleu sur fond ocre. Petites fentes doublées, court de marges avec atteinte à l’adresse.
175146406071Paris, Charpentier et Tremizard, 1751 ; feuille de 57 x 78 cm., Grande estampe célébrant la naissance du duc de Bourgogne, Louis de France (1751-1761) le fils aîné du dauphin Louis et de Marie-Josèphe de Saxe, frère aîné de Louis XVI, Louis XVIII et de Charles X. Plaque de 51 x 71 cm., le sujet est encadré de filets et d’un décor architectural avec guirlandes de fleurs, fruits, etc. L’image montre la dauphine alitée dans une chambre à Versailles tandis que la nourrice (Mme Calier) présente l’enfant au roi, au dauphin, à la reine, à mesdames de France et au duc de Chartres. L’image est surmontée d’un ange portant une torche symbolisant l’hymen avec le titre “L’heureux accouchement de Madame la Dauphine de Monseigneur le Duc de Bourgogne le treize septembre 1751”, au bas de l’image figure un calendrier pour l’année 1752 encadré de dauphins rocailles et fleurs. L’estampe en taille-douce est coloriée en bleu, vert, rouge et jaune. 2 adresse gravées au bas de la plaque Paris chez Charpentier rue St Jacques au Coq et Paris chez Tremizard rue des Lombards au Cornet d’or. Étienne Charpentier, un imagier lié aux Chéreau était “éditeur d’estampes demi-fines, d’almanachs, etc., établi (...) rue Saint Jacques paroisse de S. Séverin au Coq. où il est signalé à partir de 1739.” dit Préaud et al. Dict. des éditeurs d’estampes à Paris sous l’Ancien Régime p. 75-76 qui ne connaît pas de Tremizard. On connaît plusieurs représentations peintes ou gravées de cet événement, notamment d’après Humblot, celle-ci semble inconnue, absente des collections publiques et privées. Petits accidents dans les marges, timbre humide dans une marge.
178446406073Paris, Basset [André dit Le Jeune], [1784] ; feuille de 80 x 57 cm., Grande composition allégorique dans une encadrement de palmes couronnes et divinités antiques : Mercure, Fortuna, Mars et Neptune. 3 personnages féminins couronnés en robe d’hermine dont 2 se tiennent la main au dessus d’un autel (l’Angleterre et l’Espagne ?), l’une tient uns sceptre, une autre porte un bouclier armorié. De part et d’autre de l’image on voit un amérindien, coq perché sur un médaillon fleurdelisé, un navire et un personnage soufflant le vent (Zephyr ?) qui tient un bouclier avec 3 léopards (Normand ?). Plaque de 51 x 67 cm. coloriée en rouge, bleu, or et vert. Au bas de la composition figure un calendrier pour l’année 1784. Petites fentes et timbre humide dans les marges. La BNF possède une image de Basset portant le même titre et commémorant le même traité mais représentant Louis XV au pied d’un palmier, cette image-ci est inconnue des bibliographies et manque aux collections répertoriées.

De part et d’autre du feu, 2 couples en riches tenues. Coloris en bleu, vert, rouge et jaune. Tirage sur vergé doublé de papier fort, petits accidents dans les marges, timbre humide.

Succeeding his father he took in 1773 the direction of the "Factory of Pellerin". From 1796 he expanded his activity and created the "Imagerie Pellerin". As early as 1800 he started a small business a real imaginary industry which later became known as Imagerie d'Epinal.
