This scarce fine book presents very well and has only very isolated foxing spots to the front endpapers. It opens clean fresh and tightly. The very good jacket is unclipped and has a slight amount of rubbing and loss to the spine extremities and a small portion of the top edge.<br /> <br /> Showell Styles was a highly prolific author of children's adventure stories set mainly in a mountaineering context a pursuit in which he also excelled. He also wrote a series of non-fiction books on various mountaineering topics. Geoffrey Bles unknown
