The second of the author's three 'Abercrombie Lewker' adventure novels penned under his own name a further fifteen subsequent instalments appeared under his 'Glyn Carr' pseudonym. Uncommon. Second escapade for ex-actor "Filthy" Lewker and poet Gideon Hazel finds the companions venturing from London to Algiers from Saharan wadis to the cwms of the Welsh hills on the trail of a missing actress. A Tent on Top is a first impression in fine condition with like jacket.<br /> <br /> Showell Styles was a highly prolific author of children's adventure stories set mainly in a mountaineering context a pursuit in which he also excelled. Program for the memorial for the stand-up comic and rock singer/songwriter who co-wrote "Don't Touch Me There" for The Tubes and performed with them. She died in October 1986 in a helicopter crash while working as a traffic reporter for WNBC in New York. Attendees ranged from Tom Ammiano to Jerry Garcia Robin Williams and Todd Rundgren.
