One is on the city of Calcutta, the other on art and art history, with special reference to Calcutta in the persuasion of the theme. The other is a gallery of about 80 contemporary artists from the region with a color plate for each, often with an inset of the artist's depiction of themself, in full color. Book shows no wear of any kind, back cover may have light staining to rustic cloth boards -- hard to tell if it's orginal or not. This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the new AZ Museum in Moscow in 2014. The exhibition presented the works by Alexander Zverev that were given to the museum by George Costakis' daughter Aliki Costakis. George Costakis, well known as a collector of Russian constructivist works, also collected works by the Russian artists of his time. This activity included collecting hundreds of paintings and drawings by Anatoly Zverev (1931- 1986) a member of the non-conformist movement and a founder of Russian Expressionism in the 1960s.
