A nice small collection surrounding one of Christo's major international environmental art installations developed between 1984 and 1991. More than 3000 yellow and blue umbrellas were installed respectively in Japan and California. The exhibition closed early amid controversy after a woman was crushed to death when one of the nearly 500-pound umbrellas fell on her during high winds in the Tejon area between Bakersfield and Los Angeles.
