Christo was born in Gabrovo Bulgaria in 1935 later worked with Jeanne-Claude on projects including Running Fence The Pont Neuf Wrapped Wrapped Reichstag and The Gates and became known for temporary installations shaped by planning negotiation landscape fabric and public access.<br /> <br /> Signed artifact dated 1981 bearing Christo's hand-signed "Christo." The year places the piece after Running Fence in California and before Surrounded Islands in Miami within the period when the artist's project drawings signatures and related documentary materials circulated as lasting records of works designed to be temporary.<br /> <br /> Signed and dated in Christo's hand with no noted wear near fine.
